Hello! Carolyn Mamaradlo with the San Mateo County Transportation Authority shared these internship opportunities. More info is provided below. Applications are due on May 5th, 2024.   The San Mateo County Transportation Authority (TA) plans, funds, and delivers transportation programs and projects throughout San Mateo County. There are two internships available in the following two departments:   #1: Planning and Fund Management Intern - The selected Intern will work on a project to develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as vehicle miles traveled reductions, greenhouse gas emissions reductions, etc. to help the TA understand the impacts of projects funded by Measure A and Measure W across San Mateo County. The position will provide planning support for various studies including the 101 Corridor Connect Mid-County Multimodal Strategy and Active 101 Corridor Crossings Implementation Plan. The position will also support TA-related Government & Community Affairs tasks such as assisting with community engagement activities, social media strategy, federal and state legislative research, and more.   #2: Project Delivery Intern - The selected Intern will assist the Project Delivery team with tracking and updating various projects, researching funding programs, maintaining the GIS project database, developing reference materials, and providing general support to the team such as research, capital project support, technical writing, and preparing presentations.   Complete Details and Online Application Available at: ·        https://tinyurl.com/TAINTERNPFM ·        https://tinyurl.com/TAINTERNPD

In Volunteering
Hello! We are looking for volunteers to help us celebrate E-Week during the week of February 22nd! Volunteers will be asked to help give an interactive presentation for k-12 students. The audiences may include teachers, students, and parents. Presentations and interactive materials will be prepared by an E-Week Committee prior to February 22nd.  We are also looking for members interested in joining the E-Week Committee. Committee members will help brainstorm ideas for interactive activities and will meet in the weeks leading up to February 22nd.
